I have a 5400D Master lock.I changed the default combanation and hung it on my closet door and approx. two months later it remains there because I forgot the combo.I called Master Lock and was told its impossible to open.Can you help?

Master Lock would be thrilled to sell you a new lock. Run through the possible combinations, systematically, until you hit on the correct one. There are 10,000 of them. Shouldn't take any longer than a week.

To set a new combination:
The initial combination is set at the
factory to 0-0-0-0
1. Open the compartment door
2. Push the reset lever left and down.
The lever remains in this position
3. Rotate dials to your desired combination
4. Push the reset lever, up and right, back
to the original position
5. Close the key storage compartment door
6. Scramble the combination dials to lock
the door and conceal your combination
7. Close the shutter door
If you have the change key, you can insert into the lock and make a new combination. Only the Change Key witll allow you to change combination.
