Acer obicam im using acer travelmate 3260....window xp.....whn i click on obicam it shows "camera is in use by another applicaton...stop the application then press reconnect button"...

    am using acer travelmate 3260awxmi. when i chat and click on my webcam, it says "webcam not connected" or "used by another application". what i did is turn the webcam til it lights. but i'm afraid it would break if i keep on twisting the cam. the manual doesn't say anything bout its built-in cam. so please help me to trouble shoot. thanks.

    I Have Acer Travel mate 3260, The webcam does not work It says cam is se by another application,I have tred installing all the drivers from Acer website,I have restred my system to original factory setting, contacted Acer support BUT ALL IN VAIN NOTHING works

After installing win 7 on travelmate 3260 camera does not work - cannot find working driver
Acer doesn't support Windows 7 on this model.

The camera is made by a company called Suyin.

I'd recommend posting in the Acer support forums. Hopefully somebody has found a compatible driver.

Ethernet and video controller for acer travelmate 3260
Hello,
You may find all support and driver information on the acer's support website. You can follow the link below to reach your download section:
Acer drivers
If you have already tried these drivers and they still didn't work, you may have to install manually.

Right click the My Computer icon on your desktop or start menu and click properties. Select Hardware and then click device manager. Rightclick on the ethernet device and click the install driver option. WHen the install window pops up, select the option that says install from a list or a specific location and click next. Then check the box next to include this location in your search and browse to the inf file in the drivers folder that you downloaded and extracted from acer's website.

Do the same for the video controller. I tried this previously with another acer laptop and had to manually search in the folder for the inf file and install in this same way.

Second, make sure you do not have any other application open that use the webcam. This includes instant messengers and webcam software. To help fix this problem in the future you can download an application like www.manycam.com (FREE) that allows you to share your webcam with multiple applications.

Disconnect the camera from the usb port restart the computer and uninstall the whole driver from add or remove programmes restart the computer again andknow reinstall the drivers and make sure that the camera is not connected to the computer and im sure it should work....If it doesnt work try to download this driver and use it from the following link http://driverzone.com/device.php?id=2394

I download all driver from acer ftp but only one driver -camera - didn`t extracted
I think that this driver -driver vebcam is damaged !
