My samsung blackjack 2 will not charge. the battery is now totally dead, will not turn on and will not charge even with the wall outlet charger or the computer usb charger. when the phone still had some charge in it and I would plug it in to the charger, it would constantly beep and red light would flash.

If the Red Led stays turned on it is as simple as this.....the solder connecting your power on button to the system board in your phone has worn off..... you must pop the power button at the top of your phone off and you will be able to see where the soldering paste has simply worn off. At my job I have a soldering machine so it was not problem for me. I simply took pasted it back to the board with tin.....now this may require some work. just pop off the top section of you phone with a flathead screw driver and pop out the power button. look closely and you should be able to see where the botton has lifted from the little greenish system board..... Find someone to solder it, put it back together and it works like new.........SEE YA

Apparently this is just a bug with many of the Blackjack II's. I have the same problem and I have read on forums that many others have had the same issues.

Same problem with mine. I have even replaced the phone and the battery and the problem still exists. I had another battery software installed and it show that the phone thinks the battery is fully charged and just wont charge anymore, even thought the battery bar is not even full and the Windows Mobils OS says that is battery is not fully charged.

If your laptop has a bad battery, will the computer still be able to turn on when plugged into a power outlet?

If your battery is totally drained or dead, your laptop will not turn on even when plugged in to power outlet. The power from the charger don't have enough power to pass through the battery that is trying to charge. Remove the battery and you will be able to turn on your laptop when plugged in directly to wall outlet.

Samsung Blackjack

Did it last shut down after draining the entire battery? And are you trying to charge it through a USB connection? The USB charger only charges the phone if it's on (I know, that's stupid, but there you have it). You'll have to use a power inverter and charge it on a wall outlet if the battery is dead. If that's what you're doing, let me know and I'll try to find another solution for you.

Samsung Blackjack II battery went completely dead and now the phone will not recharge. When plugged in, green recharge light will not come on.

Issue with either battery, charging port on phone, or charger. Attempt replacement of charger or different outlet first. Then battery replacement, about $50. Then phone replacement (hope you're eligible for warranty or have insurance if you don't want to upgrade).

1. Get repaired
2. New phone
3. external charging source

The external battery charger runs about 20 dollars on ebay with an extra battery.

Blackjack II will not start

This has happened to my Blackjack II and I've found if I plug it into the charger then plug the charger into the wall, the phone comes right on. It's a pain, however, if I'm not at home when it decides to do this since no amount of button pushing will turn it back on, it acts like the battery is dead (when I know it isn't!)

BTW, I've have to have my SIM card switched out twice and the battery replaced 4 times since I bought this phone brand new in February......
