1. Check the user manual for the Xerox Wide Format 8830. This should provide instructions on how to troubleshoot and solve any issues you may be having with the machine. 2. Contact Xerox customer service for assistance. They should be able to provide you with more detailed instructions on how to solve the issue. 3. If the issue is related to a hardware or software issue, you may need to contact a qualified technician to come and repair the machine.
I hate to say this, but chances are either the software is corrupt or one of the two drives has failed. Your best bet is to call for a xerox authorized technician.
If by chance you are one, download the firmware from xerox and perform the altboot/forced upgrade solution in the manual. Even if it fails it will generally tell you which drive is bad. You can tell by when it fails on reload, copy control or network control. You'll need a new 160gb sata drive that is comparable with the machine, or order a firmware matching set of drives from xerox.
With lines showing up with both coping & printing, you are most likely need a general cleaning and if that will not work, odds are you are going to need a new OPC drum & drum cleaning blade and a new developer change..... Good Luck
Hi You can download 8830 drivers from http://www.xerox.com/digital-printing/large-format-printers/enus.html you need to check the type of controller that is fitted to printer. Look on the back at box where connections are terminated. label should have (F5Y or CNG - N5T - HFT and others select which is fitted and operating system, other support documents are also found here.
