A lot of times Dazzle provides a calibration program for video and sound. See if you can run that.
There usually is a seperate audio capture control. If you go to your sound mixer and check the recording settings, is the audio capture from the Dazzle selected?

You can record screen with a freeware tool called Screen Recorder. It's working well on Windows and the quality of the video is rather good and there is sound in it. Good luck!
You can use Windows Movie Maker. Go to Start - All Programs - Windows Movie Maker and then at the top click on Tasks on the left side click on Capture from video device and then select your audio and video input. Follow the video capture wizard and at some point you can set the Capture time limit. Hope that helps.
Assuming that you want to do your video work later (editing,DVD burning)in your PC.
1.Your PC must have video capture device(either built-in or add-on). 2.Properly set your video editing software to able to capture video form your device. 3.Connect your camera to your PC in regular manner, like when you connect it to your TV. 4.Have your camera in PLAYBACK mode.wind the tape to the beginning of the footage you want to capture. 5.Open your editing software.turn on capture mode. 6.Start capture. At the same time, start playing back the footage on the cam. 7.When all footage were captured, click stop capture. 8.Start your editing work. 9.when complete, save it to some uncompressed video format like *.avi for later burning to DVD or converting to other format.
For
beginners,I recommend Windows Movie Maker video editing software that
should come bundled in almost every computer. It's fast, simple but
effective enough for home-movie work.Once your project is completed, save your movie in original .avi format for later burning to DVD,etc.
BTW forget the old-school Linear Editing (on the tape) thing. It's slow, complicate and much less flexible than Non-Linear method.
With your Recorded DVD-R Disc "Finalized", and in the DVD player on your computer, you should be able to browse to your videos with Movie Maker.
In MovieMaker, on the left side where it lists:
Movie Tasks
1. Capture Video
Capture from Video device
Import video . . .
You want to "Import Video", by clicking that and browsing to the DVD-R to find what could be MPG files, or VOB files. They're both MP2 DVD format video and audio files.
Tip: Right Clicking in the Import Video Dialogue Box where the files are listed and selecting View / Thumbnails, will present a view of the scenes in each video.
How to Record Webcam Video with Earlier Versions of Windows Movie Maker
If
you're still using Windows XP, your Windows Movie Maker version might
still support capturing video from a webcam. To do this, go to your WMM
Movie Tasks and then select "Capture from Video Device". Select webcam
from the list of analog devices. You must also select the video input
line you want to use for capturing your webcam video. Then enter a name
for your captured video file and the location of the drive where you
want to save it. Select your video setting preferences for the video
you want to capture. To stop capturing, you can either
choose to stop anywhere during the recording session or indicate a specific time limit before the recording stops.
How to Record Video on Your Webcam with Newer Versions of Windows Movie Maker
When
we say newer versions, we are referring to Windows Movie Maker version
6 which comes pre-loaded with the Windows Vista system. Since Windows
Vista is a pretty advanced OS, we expected the latest version of the
WMM to support webcam video capture as well. It's very helpful and
economical since it comes packaged with Windows Vista, and you don't
have to pay the extra cost just to have that tool. So, the next
question now is, how can you record a webcam video using Windows Movie
Maker 6. Actually, like we said - you can't. You won't see the "Start
Capture" tool in the File Menu of your latest Windows Movie Maker. Your
best bet is to look for alternative and cheaper software that would
help you capture whatever you want to record from your webcam. Or,
better yet, use the software that comes with your webcam to capture
video and then import it into Windows Movie Maker for
editing and enhancements. If your webcam didn't come with video capture
software, you're in luck because there are free software appllications
available for you to download to do such tasks. You can find a good
list of webcam video capturing software from this list: http://www.sharewareconnection.com/titles/webcam-video.htm
Ok, it's on the left. Under file, there is capture video, and you hit capture from video device, then you click on the crystal eye cam if its like an aspire one.
Hi,
You need not download any program.
You can use Windows Movie Maker which comes with the Windows operating system.
Connect you cam to the Computer using Firewire cable (not USB cable). Switch it on.
Open Movie maker.
Goto> Start> Programs> Accesorries> Entertainment> Movie Maker
On left click on Capture Video from device.
Rest are self explanatory.
First, you need a program on your computer that searches for connected digital video devices. Like Windows Movie Maker! Look for Windows Movie Maker on your laptop. If found, bring it up and there should be a task panel on the left side. Near the top, there should be something that says "Capture from video device". (Or something close to that.) Click on it and Windows Movie Maker will search for connected video devices. It should find you camera and will show you what you need to do. (Make sure your camera is turned on play mode.) Windows Movie Maker is a very easy to use program and allows you to add music, transitions and all kinds of cool effects to your videos. If you have any questions, please ask.
I had a similar problem with my Sharp camorder. The preview window on XP simply displays corrupted images. At the end, I bought a different firewire card and it worked for me.
