I have a pansonic KX-TG6513 with answer machine, bought it used, got home it shows "base no power", I tried with all 3 other phones showing the same massage, even open the base unit to check for loose wire/connection. It turns out the handset is been off for a long time, after I replace the new battery I need to re-registraion the hand set to link with the base unit. Here is how to. check both base and handset unit all have power, phone cord is in both side "wall and base unit phone". On the handset go to "Menu" then under "initial setting" find the "registration", press select it will go to "register handset", press select, it will show you need to press and hold the locator button on the base unit for 5 seconds until you hear a beep then you press ok on the handset to establish the connection. This should reconnect your handset to the base unit. This method also apply when you try to add an additional handset to the base unit.

Check base power on 1715 base

Check the base power source and at the unit. You are seeing 'out of range' displayed because the base is not getting power.

I have d3098. The cordless is saying power problem with base phone. My cleaning lady threw out my manual and Idon't even know where battery is I need a new manual.

I suspect remote is unable to communicate with the base and is reporting the issue as power loss at base.

So does the base function, makes and receives calls?

Reset the base unit and power supply by unplugging the base power supply from the wall, wait at least 1 minute, plug base power supply back into wall outlet.

Reset remote by removing battery wait a minute, reinstall battery.

If after the reset the base can't make/receive calls, its likely failed.

If the base works and the remote still reports base power issue, could be either base or remote.

The manual is at the following link...

Our phone says base no power

It is very simple, either the base station is defective or the base station power adapter is defective. I would go with the base station, but check the phone power adapter with a volt meter for correct voltage output as well..

Had a att el52300 base that went bad so bought another one it seems to be working ok. all head sets have out of Range or no Power at base.Tried to clear with answer given but nothing worked Need help

Hi,
Try the following:
1/ Make sure the power cord is securely plugged in at the base and that it's powered on ie: light is on and working etc..

2/ Reset the telephone base. Unplug the electrical power. Wait for
approximately 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Allow up to one minute for the cordless handset and telephone base to reset.

3/ Place the cordless handset in the telephone base for one minute to allow the cordless handset and base to synchronize.

Manual available here:

your base should have power to get the handset working.make sure your base has power , may be loose connection, pull the power cord on the base and insert back and see. or try another outlet to see if any power goes to the base.

Hi phones suddenly stopped working and says 'base has no power' even though all plugged in OK... help?

If the base has no power, then it is either the power adapter or the base itself. Power adapter can be tested using a multimeter on Volts. Value must be within half volt from specifications. If the voltage from power adapter is correct, then the base is defective. In that case call the number on phone manual to get the part replaced, those parts are not repairable.

My Sony cordless handset doesn't work and displays "S/C Invalid".

  1. Place the handset in the base.
  2. Unplug the AC power adapter from the telephone base.
  3. Disconnect all the telephone lines from the telephone base.
  4. Allow the telephone base to remain without power for 1 minute.
  5. Connect all the telephone lines to the telephone base.
  6. Plug the AC power adapter back into the telephone base.
