Need to locate a tank for a Goldstar Dehumidfier Model # DH 5010A. The number on the tank that needs replacing is 4838AD 1002-5. We tried a tank with the number 4838 AD-T3 but it would allow the dehumidfier to come on. The surface on the switched side of the tank needs to be indented. Where might I find a replacement tank.

Humidistat won't cycle the compressor. Replace the sensor or put a timer on the compressor.

Sounds like you're going to need a new bucket & float, if you want to continue to use the dehumidifier in any thing other than continual hose draining mode.Here's a link to where you can find a replacement bucket w/ the float valve included. http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/dehumidifiers/partinfo.php?partsid=276540

If it is very cold some of these consumer units will not turn on the compressor. If the unit suddenly stopped working and the temperature is room temperature I would guess a refrigeration issue- either a leak or bad compressor. Make sure the "full bucket" indicator light is not on- the condensate bin may not be plugged into the unit properly.
