I have a Samsung HL-S4266w TV When I plug in tv I get no picture and A sqealing noise. 1st the lamp led flashes 2nd stand by temp led comes on 3rd lamp flashes 4th all three led's flash (timer,lamp,and stand by temp) I tried an original manufactured replacement lamp no help. I also held the back light switch in no help. Does this problem sound like a color wheel

It could be the temp sensor going bad. This sensor sits on top of the
metal housing which the bulb assembly slides into. The bulb assembly
will have a hole on top and this is where the sensor is above. There is a
small blue and white wire that plugs into it. If you pull the wire out
and put a paper clip or wire in the coupling you will basically bypass
the sensor connecting the blue and white wire. If your tv turns on then
that is your problem. Its cheap too. Here were my symptoms..1] Turn tv
on 2] Bulb would light up..(which eliminates the ballast) regular
picture would show up (which eliminates the bulb and color wheel) 3] 30
seconds later tv would shut down with 3 flashing lights. After bypass
the tv turned on as always and hasnt shut down yet. Always un plug tv
first. Get the replacement part to avoid overheating and possible fire
U turn tv on hear any squiling,grinding or motor noises?Picture show up before it shut down picture have flashes of black&white within the picture?Yes,to all of these,this tv have a colors wheel and it dead,require the colors wheel replacing.No,none of these problems.The tv projection lamp,if in this tv like a 1 1/2 or 2 years,tv ben on an watches like 4 or 5 hours a day?The "LAMP" LED light indication lite up or flahes,the projection lamp life is over.Require a new projection lamp.
You have a power supply circuit issue. Possibly a component in the primary side of the power regulating circuit for power on is weak or defective. You unit will require a tech to look at the power section of your TV.
Can you reseat the lamp? Don't forget to unplug the TV of course, but sometimes the connection between the lamp and TV degrade due to heat contraction and cooling. Some TV's provide an error code by having LED's flash a certain way, is this what you mean by lights flashing?
HLP, HCN HL-S The Start-up Problem or/and 3 LEDs in the front blinking. Unplug the set, pull out the lamp module (not all the way - leave it on the track) and push it back in. Power issues (Tv not turning on) were typically due to faulty ballast. While the TV reports a bad lamp it is the ballast itself causing the issue. Samsung is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast). After replacment most people stop having issues.
