Hi,
Look at the back of the router for Reset button and reset your router to restore factory settings. Turn over router and check in the bottom default access IP address and then type that IP address in to your browser. Then it shall ask you for ID and password. Enter `Admin` or `admin` as ID and `Password` or `password` as password. You will see a web based setup opened in front of you. Go to the Wireless Lan settings and then you will SSID so change the SSID and this would be your network`s name. Then go to subsection security and select WPA2-PSK or simple WPA-PSK then enter your desired network key. Once done with all these things the click apply and reboot if prompted. Good Luck

How do I find my wep key number

You can find your Belkin WEP key on its bottom or back side, Normally all other routers are coming without password, but belkin asks its physical address has its WEP password,
you can change it's password and SSID by login in through internet explorer, both the username and password of router can find on it's backside, then follow some easy steps to change SSID (wireless name) and wireless password (WEP) min 8 charectors,
please don't try to change your username and password provided by your Network provider if are not a professional, (connection may lost)
Thank you rate if you succeeded

I am trying to connect to wi-fi but i have forgotten my network name and password.

If you have forgotten both the SSID and the password, your best bet would be to restart the router to factory settings. Press the reset button on the back of the router, and set up a new SSID and password.

I am trying to connect my ipod touch to wireless dlink dir 615, but I need a password. How do I get the password

When you configure the "wireless" adapter inside the D-Link router, you should set:
* an SSID (a name for your wireless network)
* an encryption-level - hint: use 'WPA'
* a password for your wireless network

Once you've done the configuration, use the SSID/password on your iPod Touch.

If you don't know the password, then you need to reset the router,
Hold it down the reset button with the help of a pen point and power cycle your router. Then re-do the configuration following the manufacturer's instructions. Then you can set password for your router.satheeshd_0.jpg

Router password is the password to access the router settings.
SSID is the network name. When you try to connect to the wireless network on your laptop, you will see this network name.
If your network is secured network then it will ask you for the network key or the password. You need to enter the ' security key '.

I need to change network name/ssid. the ip

Linksys reset
reset your router back to the default factory settings. This is done by simply holding down the reset button located on the back of the unit for at least 30 seconds. Once the router has been reset, it must be reconfigured. Using your web browser go to URL address http://192.168.1.1. You will then be prompted to login to your router. A log-in screen asking for the password will automatically appear. At this time enter the default password “admin”, in lower case letters into the password field. The username field may be left blank at this time. (Note: both the default username and default password are set to “admin” on some of the newer Linksys router models).

Fortgot network password

How do I find out my Wireless key (WEP or WPA) ?

There are numerous ways to find out these values so I will cover a few.

Easy Solution (you should be so lucky)
Sometimes the value for the Wireless Key is written on the underneath of the router, look for SSID (this is the network name) and WEP or WPA key (called the encryption key)

Alternative Method
In order to find out your Wireless Network Key you must first use a cable to connect to your router.

Once connected check that you are connected to the internet by opening Internet Explorer , Safari or Netscape (in fact any internet browser)

The address or the router is usually one of the following values:-

http://192.168.0.1
http://192.168.1.1
http://10.10.0.2
http://192.168.2.1
http://192.168.2.254

Try clicking on each and see if you get a logon box popping up

If you do, that is the correct address for your Wireless router, note it down.

If the box has the username and password completed, then click OK

If there is no value for username try "admin" and for the password try one of the following "password", "admin",

Also try nothing for the username and "admin" for the password

Sometimes the value for these are written on the underneath of the router

Once the router page is displayed, look for an item called Wireless Settings.
Next see if a further option for Wireless Security exists.
The names of these items vary from Router to Router

Once security is displayed the SSID (Network Names) and the WPA or WEP Key can be found.

Once you have noted these values, unplug the cable and click on the following link
