Recently my computer froze up when I was adding music and I had to get rid of all the music and now there is only 2.37GB os files when It is comeing up with 1GB free space.
Open in windows explorer disc representing the player. Make sure you have "show hidden files and folders" option on. Find folder named recycled, recycle or sth like this. Now delete it.

are you sure you want to do that (format).. format will erase everything music media and software...
if you really want to format, plug e10 up to pc...goto my computer..open the e10...and copy the software (hidden also) and paste to a temp folder on the pc....now right click on the e10.. scroll down to format drive...ok, done now go back to that temp folder and copy all the software and paste back to e10... you should a brand new like e10 (starting all over, add your mp3 files)

go to your music sourse on the computer and delete it from there, then make sure the file is out of your computer completely by deleting the raw file. next plug your iRiver into the computer and syncronize it to you music source, the song or songs should have been deleted. There's a .Trashes folder but its empty.
