Our tappan es200/300 gas range/stove is not heating properly. When I set oven temp to 350 to preheat, it beeps (I have set a portable oven temp gauge inside the oven on one of the racks) that it is at 350 but when I check the gauge, it says only 250. If you let it set for another 10 minutes, the temp does go to 350 and higher. It seems to need to be set at about 365 to maintain the 350 temp. My husband is very handy and can probably fix this but we aren't sure where to start.

If the smell is coming from behind the oven, you probably have a leak at one of the connections of the gas line leading from the wall to the oven. If the smell is coming from inside the oven, you have a leaking gas valve, which is proabably a $60 to $100 part - something in that range.

I would say to go and reset your curciut breaker first if this is a electric oven. needs 220 volts for both element to work

Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).

Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.
So i suppose its a sensor replacement is necessary.These are the fault code explanations by frigidaire.good luck with the machine.Please do post results and comments.

Technician just left our house with same issue. Jenn-Air had issued a technical bulletin as the temperature probe is mounted directly to the heating element, and measures the heat of the element, not the oven. Their fix is a revised temperature probe that goes at a 90 degree angle away from the heating element.

If your temperature is consistent, just off by a set amount of degrees, there is an adjustment you can make at the control panel.

i have an old model of the fridgedare gallery professional series stove. After self cleaning, the ignition sparks for the burners will not come off, they keep clicking and only stops when i pull out the plug. can you help me with this situation?
