We were having the same problem and this worked for us, right from an insert that was included with the manual.

1. Fill tank with water
2. Remove the filter holder
3. open the steam tap
4. press the main switch and the coffee switch at the same time
5. close the steam tap as soon as water begins to flow
6. If after 30 sec. no water comes out repeat the operation.
7. when it starts, draw off 4 cups of water

This worked for us after we had about given up,

I have a Nuova Simonelli Mac Cup 2 Group. 1 group works fine. 2nd ... NO WATER gets to the group head.

It sounds like you may have a clog in the water line or the tubing that leads from the water tank to the 2nd group head of your coffee machine. To address this issue, you can try the following steps:

1. Disconnect the tubing from the group head and the water tank.
2. Flush the tubing with hot water to remove any buildup or debris.
3. Check the inlet and outlet holes on the group head to make sure they are not clogged or obstructed.
4. Reattach the tubing to the group head and the water tank, making sure it is securely connected.
5. Test the water flow to see if it is now flowing properly.

If the water still does not flow after following these steps, you may need to disassemble the group head and inspect it for any further blockages or damage. If you are not familiar with this type of maintenance, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional.

Direction replacing goup solenoid

As you have put it water flows from boiler to group head so the arrow on the solenoid should be this direction.

SilviaWhen running wster thru group head to warm up machine, noticed foamy-smelly water. Ran more - now have almost black water with tiny black specs.?

You have huge corrosion and scale in the boiler. Your heating element will be fried soon. Boiler must be opened up and cleaned, element may be salvageable. USE ONLY BOTTLED WATER NEVER EVER TAP.

The water flows very slow on group 1. On the other group it flows ok.

There could be a couple of reasons for this. The simplest could just be that you need a new group (brew) solenoid valve, yours might not being opening fully. You could also have a clog some where. Take the shower head out and soak it in PuroCafe over night. If that doesn't fix it you would have to start checking the jets in the head and or the tubing that supplies water from the heat exchanger to the groups.

Faema due smart two group espresso machine, I am having inconsistant shots. this is an automatic machine and I have reprogrammed the shots however it is still being inconsistant as far as flow through the...

when you open the hot water valve all the way does the pump come one? You might have a newer version that has a mix valve. This allows a controlled amount of cold water to be mixed in with the boiling water from the boiler. If so you would find an adjustment (usually just a black knob) that is next to that valve. If the final amount of water for the espresso is fluctuating then you have a problem with your flow meters (dirty impellors or bad field sensors). If you notice a different in the amount of water flowing from one group to the next then something is clogging up the jets or group heads. It could also be a sign of your dispersion screens going bad or other stuff. Have you had it maintenance within the last six months. I have the manual for that machine if you need a copy.

Grouphead not dispensing water

Remove the shower screen and press button to brew, if water flows the the holes in the screw/diffuser is blocked, if water does not flow then the blockage is at the solenoid or within the group head chamber. This problem I have notice when someone brewed without the shower and screw in place.

No coffee coming out of the machine!

First step, increase the grinder size. Note: only change grinder setting while the grinder is spinning. If that does not work, look into cleaning your brew group screens. The machine should have came with a key to remove the screen. If your machine as a preground option try making a preground coffee without inserting coffee to see if only water will come out. If water comes out then you know its your grinder. Usually too small of grinder sizes will stop water flow.
