How Do i have a Haier HRF-388AE, Do you know how to defrost the Freezer while leaving fridge on?

do you hear the compressor come on? can u feel it vibrating? if not? bad relay maybe? is there power from the outlet? may also have a bad cold control thermostat or defrost timer? is ther any heat in the freezer compartment?

my trf 285 intergrated fridge freezer has same problem fridge is freezing our food have been informed that a valvue is stuck open the solution
offered was defrost and leave for 2 days i did that it did not work the valvue is not replaceable hope this is some help

hi there, i noticed your post was in 08 did you find a seal to fit your fridge i have a hrf 488 fr/a and fisher and pykel are looking after them now... they advised be that this model is obsolete now and no longer have parts available.

ice build-up on the back wall indicates a defrost issue, check the defrost items. check the defrost timer, the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat, if you need more details let me know.
