Hello. I have a GE Potscrubber 600 dishwasher. The soap dispenser will not close. This seems to be a common problem. Any help would be great, thank you.

Main detergent cup won't close on GE Potscrubber 700 GSD700.A workaround is to add the additional detergent with rinse aid 18 minutes intothe wash cycle. To repair, switch off power through circuit breaker. Set timerknob to 12 o'clock. If the detergent cup lever spring opens the cup after it isclosed, remove screws on panel that holds detergent cup and remove the panel upand out of door. Remove timer cover by moving it right and pulling up to exposetimer, see photo 1. Hello. Why does it keep dispensing soap?

What do you mean "keep dispensing soap"? Is this a GE dishwasher with an automatic soap dispenser? Or do you mean that the soap lid won't latch or stay closed? Or are you talking about the rinse-aid dispenser leaking rinse-aid (which is fairly common)?

My GE Potscrubber Model GSD2230Z04WW is not dissolving the soap. I have already replaced the water inlet valve.

Check your wash arms, and make sure the holes are not plugged. Also make sure they are free to turn. Next, remove the toe-kick panel, and look for leaks or signs of leakage. Sometimes (especially if your tile floor doesn't go all the way back), dishwashers will leak most of their water out and you never know it! Other simpler things is to make sure you are not blocking the soap dispenser with large pans or plates.

Ge potscrubber 700 dishwasher - the soap dispenser cover is locked and will not open. I have run the dishwasher several times and tried to force it but it will not budge. any suggestions?

Soap dispenser cover will not open until front knob is at 4:30 or 5 o'clock. Turn knob to 5 o'clock and jiggle dispenser cover. If cover still does not open, is detergent caked such that door won't open? If yes, remove caked detergent. If no, disconnect power at breaker. GE repair manual says to remove screws for inner door panel and inspect detergent dispenser mechanism with lever and trip lever for broken or binding parts.

How do you remove the sprayer arm from a GE potscrubber 600

Thought I had a problem with the spray arm or pump because water was not flowing enough to spray the upper rack. But it turned out it was a simple part missing: the "check valve" that is in the lower neck of the spray arm assembly. It's a $10 part. Part #WD1X5488 for GE Potscrubber 600.

My GE 24 in. GSD980X dishwasher detergent dispense door will not stay closed.

Hi
Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these. Hope this helps...

My ge potscrubber 650 is leaking onto the floor in front of the dishwasher. What is the likely problem?

On ours, the leak was on the right side, and it turned out to be a failure in the seal around the soap dispenser.

It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close. If not,the lack may be broken

Dishwasher soap dispenser won't open during cycle

I had the same problem with my GE Adora. The dishes were getting cloudy and the soap dispenser would not open. Turns out the hard water deposits were causing the soap dispenser to stick shut. I purchased and used Dishwasher Magic which is a dishwasher cleaner designed to remove limescale, rust and buildup. I used as directed and now my dishes are sparkling and the soap dispenser pops right open.
