Hi I'm having problems installing windows 7 on my computer I think it may have something dealing with my motherboard I m running a MSI P55M-GD41 mother board with intel i5-661 processor and 4GB of 2 2GB Kingston 1333MHz DDR3 memory sticks 500 GB SATA hard drive and my DVD drive but my worry is I just built this computer and everything works fine when booting. bios loads up, picks up memory, CPU, hard drive, and optical drives but when trying to install windows it starts to freeze or just starts rebooting it's self like every 5 seconds

One bad lead will cause your computer to shut down or continue in a cycle
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to your hard drive
hope this helps

It should be, it says this about your memory support.

  • 4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
  • DDR3 2200+/1800/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz

  • Here is a list of compatible memory for that motherboard

Something is wrong with some of your hardware.

    Turn the computer off.
    Disconnect the AC power.
    Remove the graphic card.
    Connect the AC power.
Turn the computer on, to see if the pattern of BEEP has changed.

After install new windows7 i donot hear sound from my computer i think i need a sound driver software that matches with windows 7.

Download and run "Driverpack solution" this will find and install the drivers you need and you don't need to look around for drivers for obsolete motherboards.I have the same motherboard and wouldn't even consider running windows 7 on it. Incidentally the MS-7100 number is not the model number of your motherboard the "K8N " number is.

    Hello here is the homepage:

    http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K8N-Neo4-Platinum--PCB-1-0-.html#/?div=Driver&os=All

Here is no sound drivers for windows 7.

If i am wrong by the mainboard model, enter the ms xxxx number here:

    http://www.msi.com/service/download/

The ms number is located on the mainboard.

The solution is to buy a sound card, to add on the mainboard.
You just have to make sure, the driver is available for your windows system.
A sound card, can be bought online, or in a computershop.

As i know, MSI is not planning to make drivers, for this mainboard for windows 7.

    Good luck

I want sound driver of MSI 865GVM3-V Motherboard for windows 7................plz help me

Drivers like, Lan, Audio, Intel INF Drivers, etc.. readily came packed with Windows 7 O.S. but the chipset drivers (Graphics driver included) isn't available for this model for windows 7 (Click Here for details).

You can run "windows update" from the Internet Explorer from the system where this motherboard is installed. Open Internet Explorer, click "Tools" and select "Windows Update" and follow the onscreen instructions, {Note: this should be done when the system is On and the internet is running}. Since Lan driver is readily installed on Windows 7, you need not to reinstall Lan driver, you can run the internet connection without any problem.

Another option is "Msi Live Update", download the application here (click here) and run the program from the system where this motherboard is installed. [Open the above link and click on one of the names of the areas "Europe" or "U.S." or "Asia"].

These are all what you can deal with this.

    Good luck.

    Thanks for using FixYa.
