Hi i have the st6000 from about 1996 with the type 100a course computer it has given faultless service until now, now it will not hold course, will only allow 1 degree to port movements and even though in auto you can change course with the wheel which was previously not possible. help me please!!

try this.
Press the Command and R keys at the same time when the grey screen appears and hold them until you see the Apple logo. A small loading bar will appear under the logo. Sit tight as your system boots into Recovery Mode. Click the Utilities tab in the top menu bar, select Terminal, type reset password and press Enter.

You are actually using a wrong type of cartridge for mx 328.

The right ones are PG-810, CL-811 (PG-810XL, CL-811 Optional)
These are the types of black and color cartridge type for canon pixma mx328.

If you still have the original cartridge that comes with your printer when you purchased it, you can still use it by refilling it with commercial ink that you can purchase from an ink refilling store.
Of course errors will appear on your printer when you do that.....but there is also a way to fix that by resetting the ink cartridge.

Use the old cartridge... then PRESS and HOLD the STOP/RESET button and wait untill it self restart.
When its done you can print again.
