Hi, I own a LInksys Wireless Router WRT120N. The internet works fine through it but my iPod and Blackberry have trouble connecting to the internet through WiFi. They can see the network, and the WiFi symbol does show up on my iPod, but I can't access the web with either my iPod or BlackBerry through WiFi. How do I fix this problem?. Thanks in advance.

Please connect the router and open 192.168.1.1 and enter the login page of the router with
username=blank
Password =ADMIN
Once you are in the router page select the basic wireless settings.
Under this if you want you can select the security.
Once this is set
save the settings.
Will wok fine.

If you have 2 devices not be able to connect to it suddenly, then it is probably the router that changed, as opposed to it being the 2 devices changing at the same time. Sometimes wireless routers just go bad like that.Try a factory reset, and then set the appropriate settings back to where you need them. If that doesn't help, you likely need a new one.

At some point during the life of your particular Cisco Linksys WRT120N, the default password, username, and/or IP address might have been changed.

In most cases, if the Linksys WRT120N default IP address has been changed, the new IP address for the WRT120N will be the same as the default gateway IP address configured for your network connection.

Hello, Try troubleshooting:1) Does it have a password on your router?2) If so remove password and try connecting to it
Some electronics cant work to connect to WiFi if its protected by a tough security such as WPA2-TKIP.

Is it a new router? Your Linksys WRT120N needs resetting. Reset the Linksys router & reconfigure as per your requirement. I had two such routers giving trouble for the WiFi connectivity & which were new. You will be able to connect your router.

This is too involved to just post your router settings. I would recommend reading up on how to "cascade" your router or to make your Modem/Router act as a bridge.

The dlink will need to have its DNS disabled and have the Linksys do the DNS. Then the LInksys will be using the Dlink as its host. you may be better off seeing if you can make the dlink run in Gateway mode instead of router mode.

Then see how to implement the cascading router with your particular situation and WAN IP.

You Linksys wireless settings ie. SSID and encryption etc these settings are needed to configure the wireless card in the MAC so it can connect to the Linksys.

Turn off your cable modem and wireless router wait ten seconds and turn both devices back on again.

Wireless should be enabled by default on the router. Check whether you have switched on wireless on your laptop.
