Your unit has a power supply that has failed. When the power board starts failing you may get a wavy display, it may be slow to show a picture or you may just get the flashing power button light that you have. The problems are caused by parts called capacitors that have bulged and failed. Here is a link to a repair guide for the LG L226 that uses the same power supply board as your unit.
First Check your AC Plug if it is perfectly inserted. if inserted perfectly and still doesnt work, try using a working ac plug to check if your AC plug was the problem.
If the monitor still doesnt work try checking you video card. Remove your video card and try cleaning the gold bars using a White Eraser. Insert the Video Card Back in and try running the computer.
If it still doesnt work that means your monitor is the real problem.
It could be the light itself has gone bad. If it's no problem, just keep using it. If you don't have enough to keep you busy, you can take it apart and replace the LED.
sounds like a power issue with the monitor. try to remove and reconnect its power cord. If same thing happens, try using a confirmed working power cord like the one you use with the computer and make sure you test it out using a confirmed working power outket. If it has the same issue, would mean you need to get a replacement monitor. Refer to the vendor if it is still in warranty.
Parts (probably capacitors) in the monitor power supply are failing. My company repairs these for an average of $50.00 + parts + shipping or take it to a local repairman.
Maybe update your display drivers. PC appears to be slow. Make sure you don't have a bunch of apps that auto start. Do you hibenate your PC? Same issue if you connect monitor to another PC? If issue follows you to a different PC it says monitor. If it doesn't it says the first PC (that monitor is currently connected to) had a cpu/memory or a driver issue.
