You dont say what make it is BUT the unit has got warm enough to start defrosting itself,(hence the beeping)after a full defrost it should start back up no problem.it may take 24 hours to settle down.

My temp setting does not match my output temp

I have a recurring problem with a GE Profile PSB48LSRABV. Here's an example sequence:
  • Fresh food compartment set to 37F on the control panel (for months)
  • Thermometer in fridge reads 46F (with lots of water inside per manual)
  • Press "Display Temp" button, display shows fridge at 37F
  • Turn power off, count to 15, turn power on, wait for control panel to boot
  • Press "Display Temp" button, display shows fridge at 46F (matches thermometer!)
  • Compressor runs and cools fresh food compartment
  • Hours later thermometer in fridge reads 37-38 (yeah!)
  • Press "Display Temp" button shows fridge at 37F
  • Within days, the fridge is warmer inside again, thermometer inside reads 45+, but display reads 37 - unit needs to be "rebooted" again!
Fresh food thermistor from top of cabinet measured properly in ice water (and warmer water), the unit has always passed all the self-tests, and condensor coils and fan are clean, so I had techs come give it a shot under home warranty:
  • Trip 1 - Tech came to assess, ordered new evaporator fan
  • Trip 2 - Replaced fresh food evaporator fan (note new fan is working in fridge, and old fan works fine on bench)
  • Trip 3 - Ordered main computer PCBA
  • Trip 4 - Replaced main computer PCBA
Unfortunately, it continues the same cycle of misreading the temperature until power cycles, and taking a day off of work for each visit is getting painful.
Any ideas?

Viking fridge top and bottom model#vcbb536rss is beeping sporadically, the display screen is flashing, what is wrong with that? what part we need to check?

high low voltage board were likely not needed
board registers high temp and after a few days of constant high temp alarm will restart
by replacing low volt board all you did is start with empty register also when replacing low volt board they have to be programed for your model
sounds like you need service for your cooling issue

It would seem that a bad sensor somewhere is causing this malfunction. So check all the sensors including thermostat, temperature and door sensors cheers

Fridge troubleshooting

The motor should not be running continuously. If it is, then it is because the internal temps are not going down low enough for the thermostat to shut the compressor down. If the temp is not low enough, the temperature of the coolant returning to the compressor is higher than what it should be and that the cool refrigerant returning to the compressor cools that motor down. If it does not, the motor will over heat and often shut down for cooling.

Ice buildup on the evaporator coils will cause a warmer running fridge. If the unit has a self defroster then it is not working and responsible for the anomaly.

Your refrig light switch does control the freezer fan and the refrig light bulb . Replace the refrig light switch .
Open the refrig door , freezer fan goes off and the refrig light comes on .

Fisher & Paykel Fridge Freezer E402B beeping when door closed

If the cabinet is warm inside it is a failed circulation fan, failed defrost causing the evaporator to freeze up, or it needs a refrigerant gas top up.

Beeping is just an alarm. It may be because of the more serious issues listed above but can also be caused by a failing door gasket, the door being left ajar (kids are famous for this) or the door has been left open too long deciding what to have for dinner.

I hope that answers all 8 of you :>D

Kenmore side-by-side with thermo switch problem?

Acting like a bad thermostat, One thing to check is make sure compressor isnt overheating. If really hot you could have a relay problem on compressor.
