Hi Nelson

It appears that Windows7's Licensing Store may have become corrupt or somehow, unreadable. Please try the below steps to recreate the Store.

1) Click the Start button
2) Type: CMD.exe in the start search field
3) Right -Click on CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator
4) Type: net stop sppsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
7) Type: slui
8) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear.
9) You likely be asked to re-enter your product key and/or re-activate.

Regards
Riztech

How come after deleting trial of office 2013 I cannot access my old 2010 word starter programme

that is happening because you have both installed at the same time 2010 and 2013, since 2013 is newer it takes over the file extension, upon removal of 2013 windows will no longer know how to open the files even so you still have 2010 starter installed, just go to control panel - uninstall a program - and look for office 2010 starter in the list of programs that will show up, click on it and there will be a option to remove or reinstall/repair. click on it, office will give you the option to uninstall or repair office, choose repair and wait when the installer is done you should be able to open your documents again.

I am unable to install ms office in my new laptop of windows 7 which contains 2010 starter pack.even I tried to install 2007 also. But i am unable to install it...

You must update first your PC before installing the MS Office 2007.
The reason is, there is an update need to install first before you can install MS Office.

How to change the wallpaper in dell mini 10' inspiron

1. Download the Oceanis Change Background (http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/42272d1272912523-desktop-background-change-windows-7-starter-oceanis_change_background_w7.zip)
2. Open the downloaded ZIP file and extract the Oceanis_Change_Background_W7.exe file to your desktop, then run it to install it. NOTE: You will be prompted to restart the computer to finish installing this program.
3. When your computer restarts, you will see this as your desktop background. Click on the Oceanis Change Background Windows 7 shortcut to change your desktop background. (see screenshot below) 4. Browse to the images that you want to use and check (select) a image, or more than one image to have a desktop slideshow. Select the Picture position for how you want the images displayed, and any desktop slideshow settings if you selected more than one image. (see screenshots below) NOTE: These options are just like the default ones in the other editions of Windows 7 here that are now being allowed by this program by Oceanis for the Windows 7 Starter edition.
5. When done, click on Save changes.

I bought Toshiba L650-11f on August 03rd 2010,which has come with pre installed Windows 7 Home Premium,as i am not comfortable on windows 7 i have removed windows 7 and installed windows XP x(64) Edition...

> I am not comfortable on Windows 7

Toshiba designed the computer to work with Windows 7,
i.e., they wrote Windows 7 device-drivers for the Toshiba-specific hardware (video/audio/network). So, if such device-drivers exist for Windows XP, then only Toshiba's web-site will have them.

Also, note that Microsoft's "Product Lifecycle Policy" ended mainstream support for Windows XP on 14/04/2009, but "extended" support still is available, i.e., XP is swiftly heading to its "sunset".

Similarly, "extended" support for Microsoft Office XP will end on 12/07/2011, i.e., less than one year from now, and "extended" support for Microsoft Office 2003 will end on 08/04/2014.

In fact, after October 22, 2010, retail stores will not be allowed to sell Windows Vista.

So, if you want a supported operating system until 13/01/2015, then it's time to upgrade from 2001's "new" operating system to Windows 7.

Bite the bullet, and re-install Windows 7; you will soon be finding that any "new" software being announced will _NOT_ be supported under Windows XP.

Please tell me how to download a free version of Word 7

Unless you want to download a trial of Word 7, I would suggest that you Download the beta version of Office 2010. It will expire in October 2010 so you will have plenty of time to use it. It is very stable and has all the functionality of Word 2007 and then some.

I've got a brand new Toshiba L505-GS5037 laptop, but product key on back is not accepted when I type it in pop up box when I try to make a new document or retrieve a doc I've just saved as. The Windows...

I'm afraid that the Product ID you are trying to use is solely for the Windows OS, and not for Office as you seem to be trying to register. On most new computers, there is a only a 60-days (or so) trial version of Microsoft Office installed. If past this time limit, you have to buy a licence to keep using it. I refer to Microsoft own FAQ here.

I want to download windows 7 for vista

First, I want to make sure you understand Windows 7 is an operating system just like Vista is an operating system. When you install it, you will not be using Vista again. I also STRONGLY advise you not to install it over Vista, but rather as a clean install (freshly formatted harddrive). Installing over Vista has led to numerous problems.

Second, Microsoft has not released the final version of Windows 7 and when they do, they will expect you to pay for it. In the meantime, if you want to try it out, you can download the "release candidate" version and install it, but it will cease to operate beginning March 2010 and stop altogether in June 2010. This really should be for testing only.

If you want to have the permanent version, you can buy it (no downloads) at retail stores or online beginning in October.

If you still want to try the free version of the release candidate, here's the link and instructions...
