Hi Sky606, have you tried cleaning the game disk? Have you tried using other game disks in the wii to make sure it's not just one disk that is causing the problem. Do you have a Nintendo Wii CD / DVD Discs and Lens Auto Cleaning System ? If you don't you might want to purchase one and see if that helps, because your wii lens might need cleaning ! If all of that fails, your wii may need repairs, the lens that reads the CD/DVD could need adjustment or replacement ! One other small note,I always have a small external fan blowing on my wii when in use so that the wii wont over heat. Heat kills electronics ! I Hope this advice helps.

Nintendo wii message reads: error occured remove disc turn off console check operations manual for information! on 2 new games

Hi,

Some older Wii units also have trouble with Dual Layer Discs, which pack more info onto a disk like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metroid Prime. If your Wii is having trouble reading a dual layer disc you can try Nintendo's Wii lens cleaning kit. the other resolution for this is to change the laser on the system but it will cost you for that. Try to clean the lens first it might read the new disk.

Thanks for using Fixya.

My Wii Console just started making a noise when it is trying to read the disk. You can hear it spinning up very loud. I then tried to eject the disk and it made a very loud noise and wouldn't eject the...

Maybe the disc reader in the Wii is having problems, this could be natural for the Wii, but if it isn't reading the disc, then try talking to the nintendo company and ask them that there is a loud noise in the Wii when its reading discs, they should know what to do. My Wii does that sometimes, especially Super Smash Brothers Brawl, but it still works though. hope that helps.

Wii makes squeaking/chirping noise

This is a hardware failure. Sending it Nintendo is the only option. Unless you think you have the skills to repair it yourself. Here is the link to Nintendo

If you want to repair it yourself you need a wii dvd drive. Any version works.
