How to resolve a problem "sim card not inserted".

Sometimes, when the SIM card is not inserted properly, you may find a problem of no signal or an error showing up on your screen. To resolve this problem, power off your phone and remove the SIM card. Now reinsert the card and make sure that it is inserted properly.

To resolve your problem,you just make a back-up all your files and after doing a back-up,reset your phone into factory default,this will erase all wrong setting.....

If you are trying to use an old sim-card from another phone you may find that it won't recognize it.

The older sim cards just aren't up to the job the newer handsets require so now we have more powerful and higher voltage sim-cards.

Try a sim card from a friend with a new handset and see if that works in your phone.

You may have to go get a new sim.

Probably can't resolve your problem since either the phone is locked to a different provider's sim card, the sim card that you are using is damaged, or the sim card you are using is the wrong size format and your phone doesn't like the necessary adapter.

This may sound simplistic ... insert the correct SIM card.

Did you receive same with the phone? are you trying to use one from another phone? is one required at all? who is your carrier? What did they recommend to resolve?

Try this, since it seems you have a sim probably from another phone, there is that possibility that the formatting is not compatable with your new phone. Get a SIM to USB adapter. Plug it in to your computer USB. Copy the data from your SIM to your computer. Clear (format) the SIM using your computer. Put the clean SIM back into your phone - see what happens.

try to insert your sim to other mobile then try balance inquiry after you have recieved the message turn off your mobile, remove the sim card and insert it again to your nokia 5800.

The "insert sim" error is a common error. Usually it is caused from putting the sim in incorrectly.

Try this. If this is the one with the sim card ports that are on top of eachother than put the sim card in the port closest to the phone with the gold side pointing up.

Insert battery, turn on phone.

On the phone, go to the main menu. Tap phone settings. Tap dual sim settings. Tap to open sim 2. Go back to the main screen.

If that does not resolve go back to phone settings, tap dual sim settings, tap to open sim 1, go back to the main screen.

If this is the type of phone with the sim card ports seperate, insert sim with gold side down in either port. Go to phone settings, tap dual sim settings, tap open dual sims. Go back to main screen.

If this problem persists than either the phone or the sim is defective. Test the sim by putting it in a phone that belongs to the carrier the sim came from. If it works in that phone it is not the sim.
