EMachines - eMonster, eTower, eOne, S-Series, T-Series;

Press Tab or Del while the eMachine logo displays on screen.

Other eMachine computers may use F2 to enter BIOS.

Can only be done if your disk is an operating system disk. Di this by pressing and holding f11 or f12 after you have put in CD DVD in drive. This will take you to your bios, you will need to change your booting option priorities. Change cd or DVDs to #1 the hard drive to #2 be sure to exit saving the changes. It will reboot but this time on its own it will boot from cd, is going to ask you to press any key to boot from cd, quickly do so and you are done.

Pxe-mof exiting pxe rom

If you are not booting from a network, PXE-boot is the wrong boot option.

You have to change the boot order so that the PC will boot from your HDD. This can be set in the boot option in your BIOS.

Depending on the type of BIOS, you will enter F2 or Delete during the POST( when the white letters appear on the screen after you turned it on). This will enter you into the BIOS setup. boot options are usaully the last tab. Either disable the PXE-boot or change the priority so that it boots from the HDD first. Please, if you are unformiliar with this, reference the manual or ask someone with some IT background.

If the problem still exists after you configured the boot options your hard disk drive might not be readable. The BIOS just goes to the next availible boot device.

Having problem with operating system disc....can get to advanced bios menu but do not know what to change the priority of.... first 2 items on the menu won't let me change priority value and the 3rd...

there should be a boot menu command at start up just like you entered the system bios, i believe the e machine boot command is F12 that will give you the opportunity to boot from what ever you want on that boot only. so in your case of course you would scroll down to cd and hit enter. press any key to boot hit any key and boot.

Emachine T4060 -black screen-no cd-rom boot

Hi,
If it is DVD Drive, then sometimes in BIOS you'll also find the option for DVD Drive together with CD Drive. Choose the correct one and boot your PC.
Please come back and vote for me, if this turns to be helpful for you. Thnx

I cant get my comp screen past an error saying ''CD-ROM Boot Priority..Boot Ready It is an emachine

Sounds to me like it's not reading your hard drive either because it's no longer connected properly or it has failed to work properly and the only boot device it recognizes is your CD-ROM. You should take this to a professional if there are any files you need on that hard drive.

Pc keeps trying to start up but states it needs to reboot and won't. I have tried to insert the operation disc and it does not work either

it probably says insert suitable boot device. If you are trying to boot from a cd go into the bios and set the boot device priority to CD as priority. If hard drive then set hard disk to the top.

Emachine T5212 will not boot up unless operating system disc in used. Get direction to enter boot disc.

Restart, press DEL to enter BIOS and change the boot priority/sequence to boot from your HDD, second choice will be from CD-ROM and last from floppy. Next after saving the changes allow it to boot normally....sodeep.
