Moen water flow restricted and only warm

Not sure about your particular valve, but most newer shower valves have an anti-scald limiter that stops the handle from turning too far to the hot water side. Check for a ring or a pin under the handle that can be set in different positions. It will need to be moved clockwise to allow the handle to rotate farther to hot.

Hope that helps. If you have trouble finding it, try looking up a diagram for the valve model.

Turn cartridge to open ccw,, put it in , do up nut,put extension on, turn on water and just a dribble comes out, handle will shut off dribble. aerator clean as hot side works fine

You must have something in there gumming up works. Is the water on? Does the shut off work good? Is the cartridge in right? Are you sure it is the right cartridge? Can you see any gunk in the cartridge? Make sure the hole lines up when you turn it ccw, make a note of the position then turn it on, make another note, then take it out and check your positions with the holes. See if they line up. Check it out.

I installed a Moen Adler faucet. It will not shut

You may just have a piece of sediment lodged in the cartridge from when the water was shut off during installation. Carefully remove the cartridge and turn the water on to flush out any obstructions. re install the cartridge and test.

Hot water dribbles thru shower head when turned to hot

Replacing the cartridge should solve the problem, the balancing spool is stuck, replacing it will solve the problem. The valve should look like this http://www.moen.ca/shared/pdf/3170pt.pdf . I have unstuck the spools in the past, soaking it in white vinegar will help to remove build up.
