Flash timing setting for polycom sound station

This will depend upon whether your Polycom is connected to a PBX system or using a public landline. If using the Polycom through a PBX you may need to consult the system admin as you will often need to enter a 'conference code' before you dial the second party ie.

1. Dial the first party and ask them to hold
2. Press the Flash key
3. Dial the conference code for your system ie. #46
4. Dial the next party and ask them to hold
5. Press the Flash key twice and all parties are joined.

If you are using a public landline (ie. home phone line) then you will be limited to the conference services that your phone company provide and these are usually also accessed via a code. There are also conferencing services that for a fee you can dial into and follow the prompts to austomatically arrange your conference call.

1. press menu key
2. Select Admin Setup
3. Select Registration
4. You will see "Register with Base Station" in display. Press the Register softkey.
5. You will see "Power cycle base station then press ok". Unplug base and plug back in and press OK softkey.
6. You will see "Press and hold the paging button on the base for 10 seconds"
7. You will see Registering in the display on the console and then it should go to ready mode.

It depends on what system it is installed on.

NUT, generally, with the first caller on, press flash you will get intercom tone again, dial 9 and connect to the next party. Once connected, press flash again and you should be connected to the original party.

Conference call is not a feature of the phone, but a feature of the telephone system in the company. Usually you press a sequence of keys like flash #02 to trigger this function in the phone system. If your company phone system does not offer the feature then you have to use an external conference call provider.

sounds strange, it lookslike a main board problem, considering that u have been using similar unit before.there is not much that u can do from the menu options.u will have to refer ur vendor for rpairs

How can I add 3 other people on the conference call using a Polycom Soundstation?

The conferencing capability to bridge 2 (or more) external stations comes from the telephone equipment/service that you have purchased. Either you are behind a PABX or Electronic KSU, which provides multiple phone service to your office, or you purchase conferencing capability from your local telephone provider (Verizon, AT&T, etc). In either case, the way to initiate a conference call would be the same as when you would have a desktop/office phone and establish a conference/bridged call to external parties. Usually this occurs by having one party on the line, flashing the disconnect button momentarily, getting a new dial tone, dialing and connecting to a second party, then flashing the disconnect button again, which signals the equipment to bridge those two calls to your station.  On the SoundStation EX there is a Flash button that provides that capability of momentarily flashing the disconnect button.  Try and see if that works. If not, then you will need to make arrangements to purchase the external equipment or service from your provider.  If you have the PABX or electronic KSU, it may also be a configuration option that you will need to have your support person for your telephone system, activate for that station connected to the SoundStation EX. It is hard to tell if this conference phone is installed on a PBX or not? "At meetings" tends to make me believe that it is. Beeping can come from a few sources. If a call is being recorded it is necessary to provide a beep tone so that the parties on the line know that they are being recorded. This is a FCC requirement. You can ask the other party if they are recording the call. Beeping can come from call waiting. It is recommended to turn call waiting off unless you are bridging incoming calls. If a call is on hold you will get a beeping tone. You can check by pressing the flash button and see if there is a second call. If so hangup and your original call should return normally.
