I have a SONY KP55WS500 projection tv which has been a great TV. Unfortunately we were rearranging the living room and a bookshelf fell and broke the front screen. I cant find the part because of the age of the TV. any ideas?

You will need to replace the G board on this tv to fix the problem

Yes, you could get the screen replaced, but it is probably just as cheap to buy a new TV. Ask your local TV service repair shop.

I rearranged furniture in my living room, picking up my pro-151fd elite, plugged it in to have no power, tried everything I could think of including an overnight reset. Thought of what could be the common denominator with most of the issues that people have, it's that they picked it up, felt under the front left and turned the tv on. The switch is not labeled, is part of a sqaure protrusion at the very bottom of the tv, 1" to the right of the "Pioneer" label, hope this helps someone who just has a dead tv without the blue flashing lights.

thats a great tv,unfortunately the do wear out. all you can do is turn up the brightness

this metal can rectangular component? this is the tuner module for the tv the device that seprates the signals that come into you tv into the channels you watch. Union electronics, partsstore.com are some places you can get tunner

just check the antenna wire or the coaxial cord

I know how that is,,,weve got blinds then some curtains,,if im watching a movie or playin a game,,i will shut the curtains,, you can also ajust the color 2,,,good luck

I have a sony trinitron kv35s40 and the problem is picture cuts off after a minute or so. We moved it to another room (it's really heavy 36") and it started with the problem.We live upstairs and can't bring it to a repair shop without a lot of effort.Please help What can it be?

Try pushing the buttons on the remote and let me know what comes up on the screen if anything.
Display, Channel, 5, Vol Minus, ( Not plus ) then Power. This brings up
a screen with a list of the problems and number of times they have occurred.
Each of the problem names is abbreviated as, "OCP", "OVP", "V STOP", ETC.
We have repeated them in parentheses in the text for the "Blinks" described
above so you can correlate between the diagnostic screen and the blink
codes.
