The flyback transformer is most likley arcing. It is high voltage so eventually the set will shut down and not power up again untill the transformer is replaced. However those flybacks for that model are very hard to find.
You will also need to check the 6.8 ohm resistors also. The sey uses STK392-120 ICs two of them. You can get the phillips DPTV305-DPTV345 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which contains the two ICs and 12 6.8 ohm resistors plus instructions on CD. The DPTV and PTV chassis phillips all use that same kit.
