If it is a 22" grill (like a weber kettle) you could probably use the weber version
since they are ready available at home depot or lowes at a cost of under 20 dollars

What kind of charcoal or lava rock do I buy for my indoor Char-glo waste king universal grill

You have a gas grill, so you don't want charcoal. You need lava rock, any big box hardware store carries them (or Amazon). Doesn't really matter what brand, just get a size of rock that won't fall through the grate. Take a piece of your old rock that won't fall through the grate with you to the hardware store. Get something as large or larger.

Need a new oval grill grate

Measure the diameter of the one you have and then go a Lowe's or Home depot as they both carry the universal, oval grill grates.

I'm trying to locate a replacement coal grate (perferably in stainless steel) . Can you supply one? Thanks [email protected]

Sorry, we don't sell anything on FixYa. However, if you get the dimensions of the grate you needand search around on Google for some the Grill Parts & Accessories sites and you're more than likely to find what you need. I will caution you, Stainless Steel Grates are expensive. Plus, they do not do well with charcoal. The charcoal gets so hot against, that it will pop and pit. It's not like doing it on a gas grill, where the heat is moist and the stainless retains it's integrity. Unlike coal or charcoal, which is an extremely dry heat. You may be better off with Cast Iron. Once it's seasoned, it should do better than Stainless Steel.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks/

I lost the charcoal grate and the cooking grate. Where can I buy replacements

Measure the inside of the grill and go to Lowes, Home Depot or any large hardware outlet. They all carry a variety of grill and grates.

Cooking info

You can print a new manual off of www.chargriller.com. But, the basics are:
1) Take cooking grates off of grill
2) Put enough charcoal on the grill to cover the desired cooking area two coal layers high
3) Pile up desired amount of charcoal (laid out in step 2)
4) Spray lighter fluid all over charcoal pile
5) Light the pile
6) Let the pile burn until the flames die out and most of the coal has turned white
7) Spread the coals back out (use tongs they will be hot). Put any coals that are still black on top of the white ones.
8) Put your cooking grates back on the grill and let the last black coals turn white and the grates heat up.
9) Now cook!

Where can i get a grate to hold the charcoal from. it goes over the ash pan

Go to your local big box builder's supply company and get something called "expanded metal". It is some grate sheets for various purposes. Expanded metal is a perfect use for a charcoal holder in a grill. Try it!

I need directions for using a weber grill

Open the bottom vent, open the top vent. Start your charcoal in a chimney starter (my favorite way). Dump in the burning charcoal. Wipe down grill grate with canola or other high temp oil. Place grate on grill, cover, set top and bottom vents to desired temp. Cook food. Cleanup.

Patio classic 6000 charcoal grill

I could not find a replacement but used 2, 18" weber circular grates, one on each end and they overlap in the middle. It is not and ideal arrangement but it allows me to continue to use this discontinued charcoal grill that I love so much
