You will need the old key. If you have it tape it to the new barrel each key has a chip to tell imobeliser its correct the old key taped on the barrel is the only way
You remote (plip) needs new battery: CR 0523 (3V).
After a change of battery, it may be necessary to re-initialise the remote control. To do that, switch on the ignition and immediately press "lock" button on your remote control to trigger the action desired. This may take some ten seconds.
I guess you meant Plip Battery instead of Flip Battery. The former means your remote key lock battery is dying. It happened to my Citroen C2 this week and I had replaced batteries in the 2 keys I have. By the way, the battery used on my C2 is a CR1620 which costs about £2 each - the Citroen dealer charged me £12 for two !
It means your Keyfob remote battery need replacing...
have it replaced at citroen, if you mess it up it can be expensive, rather pay £5 for a battery than £100 for an immobiliser reset...
