Wireless headset pairing

Hi I have a samsung WEP210 bluetooth headset and a samsung G600 phone. Originally the headset came with the phone and I had no problems pairing the two items. However I have since lost the original phone and have a direct replacement G600. My problem now though is pairing the new phone with the orignal headset as it still seems to be paired with my old phone that I lost. When I ask my new phone to seek it to pair it doesn't recognise the bluetooth device - it registers nothing. I was wondering if anyone could please help?! Thanks

  • maleyjohn Sep 13, 2008

I have two headsets and two phones (the second phone is a Nokia). the Nokia recognises both the headsets but the Samsung G600 does not which is really annoying so clearly there is a problem with the phone and this is my first Samsung - probably my last until I get this problem fixed.

Hello,
With the Samsung WEP210 this is a common problem (which is actually just a user error)
This is what you do:
1. Of coarse make sure the headset is charged
2. Make sure the bluetooth headset if OFF
3. PRESS and HOLD the top/middle (on/off) button until the light stays on (it will blink then should stay on continuously). That means it is now in pairing mode.
4. Tell you phone to search for bluetooth devices.
5. It should find the headset, and by default type "0000" to pair your new headset**

**You can use whatever pin code you like......but I would recommend the default which is four zeros.

I've got the same problem as Alpha 100 - the headset doesn't pair with my new G600, but did with my old one. Has anyone had any luck finding a solution?

Pairing the Samsung WEP 210 headset to my Samsung Soul phone

Pairing Instructions
Pairing will create a unique and encrypted wireless link between two Bluetooth enabled devices, such as your Bluetooth phone and Bluetooth headset.

Ensure that the headset is off (see Turning the headset on/off).
Press and hold the Multi-Function button until the indicator light turns on in blue (approximately 8 seconds).
Set your Bluetooth phone to discover the headset by following your phone's guide. Typically, the steps involve going to a Setup, Connect, or Bluetooth menu on your phone and then selecting the option to discover Bluetooth devices.
Your phone will find the Samsung WEP210 headset and ask if you want to pair with it. Confirm this by pressing the Yes or OK key.
Enter a passkey or PIN, 0000 (4 zeros), then press the Yes or OK key.

Can't conect headset

you need to hold down the button on your headset until the blue stays on instead of flashing, then the headset has been reset, then try pairing your phone with your headset, and type in 0000 as the password, this should solve your problem :)
