You might be able to get an online copy from JVC. There are also a lot of websites where you can get the driver software. A lot of them can supply it free of charge.
There would be software CD supplied with camcorder, check packing/ box for that CD and if it is lost, you can buy that CD from JVC Accessories Store. Thanks.

Another solution is to make sure you are using the usb cable that came with the camera. For some reason, if I use any other, the computer won't recognize the camera. It's the one with the magnet. In fact, mine has two magnets on it.
