Pull up 'My Computer' then click on 'Control Panel'. From the Control Panel, click on 'Printers and Faxes'. You will then see a list of Printers connected to the PC.
Delete pending print jobs to make sure that the correct document will be printed later and for you not to waste paper. Double click on the printer that you want to use, and a window will appear showing you a list of pending print jobs. Simply click on 'Cancel All Documents' from the 'Printer Menu'.
After you have deleted all pending print jobs, right click again on the printer icon and choose 'Use Printer Online'.
Try printing a test file, if it doesn't work the first time, reboot the PC.

Does the printer show any message on it's display ?
Most common problem with these printers is the driver setting (mostly media type/weight) conflicting with the settings made via the front panel menu's.
I would see what kind of data is being sent to the printer. If the spooler is trying to send some data to the printer that is outside of its limits, even a page break missing, it will do this. Also see how much data it is trying to send to the printer. If it overwhelms the printer, it will just give up until the spooler stops sending requests.
Make sure printer is powered on USB or other cable is connected to pc, then open the printer panle and double click on the printer you use. on the file menu make sure there is not a check mark on printer online, offline
