Yes ... you could have a color wheel problem.. this set get color from a spinning wheel called a color wheel.. when you unplug this and plug this back in you should hear a whining motor sound. During the "bootup" sequence this motor spins this wheel to test to see if it reaches speed. This is a motor that moves and anything that moves eventally dos not. i see this problem often in the shop and if it is the problem there not all that difficult repair. the hardest part is finding the color wheel
