Some times the tape becomes to tight and the pick up reels cannot adjust them selves? I had the same problem with this one tape that would not load and was ejected immediately. What worked for me was to pull out that particular tape and unlocked the reel by using a small screw driver on the square notch on the back of the cassette. It is a small square hole in the middle back of the cassette, move that little notch upwards and then with your finger try to turn the right reel clockwise, just enough to loosen the tape inside the cassette. When i loaded the tape back into the camcorder it worked perfect, don't know if this might help you but worth a try. The camcorder has to be able to work the tape into it's proper alignment and if the tape is to tight it will eject it.

Try removing the battery and charging it. Then put the battery back on the camera. This will reset the cassette system. The cassette should open or close depending upon what status it is in. Once you get the camera to eject fully, clean your heads with a dry head cleaner cassette for Hi8 video. If your camera is still eating tape, could be a broken pin or damaged heads.

I have recorded the videos in my Hi 8 Cassettes sony handy cam CCD-TRV418E. I want to copy the files to my PC and burn the CD's. My cam recorded doesn't have USB port. Please help me how to go about...

You will reqquire an A/D (analogue to digital) Converter to go between the camera and PC.
Connect the camera to the Converter with analogue cables and the Converter to the PC with a firewire cable.

We own a Sony handy cam model CCD-TRV37 and the tape will not come out. When pressing the eject button a little yellow arrow blinks upward on the screen and a code C:32:20 blinks in the upper right corner....

Error C:32:20 indicates that the take up reel of the cassette that winds the tape into the video cassette is not taking up the tape fast enough thus causing slacking when unloading.
Remove the battery or power cable, connect, and perform operations from the beginning.
if this fails take the camera to a repairman to remove the tape manually.

Hi
See if this works--If you are on battery there may not be enough power .Charge the battery or use the the mains power through the transformer and see if it works.
