your watch needs a good service.disassembling cleaning oiling and reassembling!this must done every three to four years in automatic watches!try in a authorized seiko service center!

Hi mtrahan99. My advice is to take it back and get it replaced, particularly if you have only had it a few days. If they won't exchange it or refund you, get a repair under the guarantee. Automatic watches (and Seiko actually make some very good ones) don't need to be worn all the time to wind them, and the fact that it ran so fast and has now stopped would indicate something major like problems with the mainspring. You definetely CAN NOT dive with this watch. It is good for swimming and snorkeling only. Real divers watches withstand at least 200 meters of depths and are specialy designed for it.
One of the best affordable divers watch manufacturers novadays is Seiko. Check Seiko website and learn about divers watches and all the features they have. List of waterproof markings and explanations are also available.
