Hello
Adjust colour control to zero, and check for a pure black/white picture. Adjust contrast and brightness control to minimum and check whether the picture goes completly off or a slight picture prevails. If the picture goes out when you turn down brightness control to 1/3 position, that is about 20 points, your TVs screen voltage is very low, and it can be adjustable. If the picture does not go out and more brightness prevails, screen voltage is high. If the screen voltage is high, there will be some fine lines across the screen at about an inch apart; on the whole screen from top to bottom.
Screen voltage adjustment is critical for the clarity of the picture. If it is low, no proper colour will be dispayed. If it is high, it is harmful to both picture tube and your eyes.
Never try to adjust it without proper knowledge about it. The screen control can be located alongwith the LOT [Line Output Transformer], of your tv. There will have two adjustable controls there, one is for Focus, and the other is for Screen. Both are interactive, that is adjusting one will effect an other.

Tv picture is too dark and looks like everyone wearing lipstick went to menu but it doesnt help tv just a yr old

You need to adjust the brightness, tint, contrast, and brightness in order to get the color to even out. Menu; settings; display. If you no longer have the remote, either buy a universal, or use the tv buttons(channel + - should navigate the cursor) to enter menu mode. Be patient because it can be frustrating; so don't do it when agitated, hungry, or tired. GL

TruTech T2000D Picture Settings

Somewhere in that menu (look carefully and scroll all the way down on each page) is a setting for format---set should have 4x3 (letterbox), 16x9 which is full screen for HD and may also have zoom and wide zoom.

There should also be a button on the remote for this.

Is there a way to access the tint function on the Apex4088? It is not accessable when we go into the picture setup menu. It appears to be locked.

Hello

The Tint function can be accesed by the following steps.

The PICTURE menu offers options to enhance and refine the picture displayed on your TV based on ambient room light and personal preferences. Adjustment options include contrast, brightness, color, sharpness and color temperature

Press the MENU button on the remote control. Navigate using t u arrow buttons to select PICTURE. Press the down q arrow button to highlight PICTURE MODE, then press the u arrow button to select your viewing preference from 4 factory options:
STANDARD > DYNAMIC > MOVIE > PERSONAL. The STANDARD setting is recommended for most viewing environments. Depending on the ambient light level in the room, you may find one of the other options more pleasing.

To make more critical adjustments based on your own preferences in PERSONAL:

• Use down q arrow button to highlight Contrast. Navigate using the
t u arrow buttons to increase or decrease contrast intensity.
• Use down q arrow button to highlight Brightness. Navigate using the t u arrow buttons to increase or decrease overall brightness.
• Use down q arrow button to highlight Color. Navigate using the
t u arrow buttons to increase or decrease color intensity.
• Use down q arrow button to highlight Tint. Navigate using the
t u arrow buttons to adjust colors toward green or reddish tint.
• Use down q arrow button to highlight Sharpness. Navigate using the t u arrow buttons to soften or view crisper edges in the picture.
• Use down q arrow button to highlight Color Temperature. Navigate using the t u arrow buttons to select COOL (more bluish tone), NORMAL or WARM. The default setting is NORMAL. WARM mode will provide color that is calibrated to D6500° Kelvin, the standard color that broadcast stations and the Motion Picture industry consider as the most accurate to view programming.
Note: When adjustments are completed, you may select another menu by pressing the Menu button.
OK

Picture getting dark

My jvc 27" tv was so dark I could hardly see any night scenes, even with the bright all the way on. If you push the sleep button, let go, then hold down the video and display (together), the service menu will come on. Scroll down to #7 (too dark) and adjust the brightness there. Works immediately. Good luck.

How do i get brighter pictures

There are only two options for adjusting the brightness of pictures in this camera, exposure and flash setting.

1. Flash Options: The flash is off by default. To turn it on you must press the button with the crooked down-arrow label between the DISP and MENU buttons, and the flash status will display in the top right-hand corner of the display screen. OFF displays the crooked down-arrow and a circle with a line through it. Press the button once for AUTO, displays the crooked down arrow with an "A" next to it. Press the button once more to force the flash, displays the crooked arrow only in the top right-hand display. Regardless of mode, the display will blink rapidly while the flash is charging and remain solid when it is charged and ready for use. Keep pressing the crooked down-arrow button to scroll continuously through the three OFF/AUTO/ON options.

2. Exposure setting: Press MENU, then the left arrow on the top right-hand four-way button on the camera until the COLOR menu is selected. Scroll down to EXPOSURE and press the MENU button again. You will see EV on the display. Use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the exposure setting. 0.0 is default, you can go up to +1.5 or down to -1.5. Press MENU to exit when you're done. +1.5 would be the maximum brightness setting.
