This is a display problem which occur due to sudden vibrations even if u close ur phone very harsly that too make this problem.Just do one thing opne ur phone and gently apply some push og scratch it lightly with ur fingers not with ur nails. If still having problems changing of display is the only solution. My razor phone's screen is just black but the front cover screen you can still see everything on it. It still works and receives texts and calls but i cant see anything.

it is the main displays problem!! sometimes it is just because of an IC or it may be the displays problem! u show it to a technician and tell him to put a working test display! if it works the replace your display.

My screen display no longer lights up--completelly black! Phone still can accept a message. Don't understand how to get the lighted screen back!

Since it is a flip phone i guess your flex is damaged or your screen is faulty. You need to first change the flex or check whether the cord is well connected.

Nothing shows up in the display. This has only been recently after a power glitch. The display lights when a call is made or received.

I unplugged the base unit from the wall for more than 10 minutes. Sometime after I plugged it back in (not immediately)the display re-appeared.

Black screen prob

Something similar happened to me. Unfortunately it could not be repaired. I had to buy another phone and now that phone does not want to turn on. It is on "local mode". Whatever that means... The new phone is also a Nokia. I don't think will buy Nokia again.

No display screen Razor

I lost my display on 30th april 2007 without a hint. Have been using the phone for nearly 1 1/2 years without any problem. The battery seems to be not so strong, shall try with the battery cleaning etc. Is this a standard problem with the MOTOROLLA V3? Cheers Bevanie

Display dies, although phone still functional

My razr V3 dropped from an astonishing 40cm to the floor, after that both screens stopped working. I opened the screen by removing the four tiny screws in each corner (t5 screwdriver which I didn't have but the smallest of my miniature screwdriver set just fitted), and popping it up carefully. There a two flatcables, one with a silvery color and a connector with a black piece of foam on it. I think it's the screen signal carrying cable. I removed it and put it back in place, pushing it firmly. After that the screens worked again. 10 minutes of work and a great deal of satisfaction. Further, the phone stinks. regards, El Rudo
