Samsung LE26R Digital Frozen

The digital TV has frozen on my TV. I have tried the master reset which is turn TV off by remote, press info, menu and mute then turn TV back on. All this does is make the screen play sound but you cannot change channels?????

Any ideas mate.

Solution that worked for me:

Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.

Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.

Thank you Panso. It worked on my LE26R74BD although it took several tries before the engineering menu came up. The last two things I had done before the digital channel selection stopped working were to start a program rescan and then stop it part way through and to delete all analogue channels through the channel manager. I don't know whether one of these caused the digital channel selection to lock up.
    Cheers, Bill K

SAMASUNG 32 INCH TV FROZEN ON DTV CHANNEL 1 CHANNEL WORK WHEN YOU CHANGE TO TV CHANNELS 1 - 5 BUT DOES NOT WORK ON DTV CANT CHANGE JUST FROZEN ON CHANNEL 1

These are the steps to reset the DTV features and unfreeze your TV:
  1. Ensure the tv is in analogue mode, not dtv and turn it off.
  2. With the remote: press info, then menu, then mute, then power. These buttons need to be pressed sequentially, not all at the same time, and in quick succession. A menu will appear on the tv.
  3. Navigate to the reset option and press the left arrow key on the remote (or press the enter/ok button). The tv will reset itself and turn off.
  4. Turn the tv back on & it'll re tune all its channels. DTV should be working again.
I hope that helps.

SAMSUNG LE32R73BDX/XEU TV Digital TV Stuck on bbc1, no access to DTV menu to reset or retune. Sometimes picture is frozen, always it shows BBC banner and Mono. Standby - Info - menu - Mute - Power is not...

just spoke to Samsung support and it turns out that the freeview tuner had froze and needed resetting. To do this put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu. Press the 'down arrow' untill you've highlighted option 12 - 'reset' and then press the 'right arrow' to enter the option. TV will turn off and when you turn back on it will start in 'plug & play' mode as if new. Set the time and country options and then it will perform a complete scan. I've just retuned mine and all back to normal. Hoorah!!!! :-)

Dtv frozen

I had a similar problem and the way to solve this is to reset the set from the remote.  Set TV to standby and press Info, menu, mute then power.  The set should turn on with the service menu available scroll down until you select reset press right hand arrow next to enter and then enter.  TV will turn off.  When switched on it goes into Plug and Play mode to reset the analogue and digital tuner.  Allow a full reset then you should be ok.
