I have a '96 samsung 25" tube tv. model # TXE2546 - series # 3CAG700429. when i turn it on it has always made a click sound a couple of seconds afterwards. the "power & timer" led light flashes about 9 times and then the picture turns on. about a week ago i started to have to turn it on (manually or with remote) 2-3 times to get a picture. now i have to turn it on about 5-6 times to get a picture. it still makes the same click a couple of seconds after i turn it on (every time i hit the button) however now the first time it push the button it keeps cycling - where it keeps flashing the "power & timer" light makes the click then starts all over for half a dozen times automatically then turns off. the second through (about) sixth time it acts like a normal startup (a click sound after a couple of seconds then the "power & timer" led light flashes about 9 times), but then turns off without ever getting a picture. still, it now does eventually get a picture. one more symptom is that after getting the picture tube to finally turn on, no matter what the volume was when it is turned off, it is always over half way to max volume.

I turned on my samsung 25' tv this morning it showed well and then the tv went blank no sound or picture. when i listen keenly to the tv i hear a slight hummimg sound. what could be wrong with the TV

it could be a bulb went out. I advise to call a tech to take a look at it. If its a CRT TV you can replace the bulb, however now a days its not that easy anymore and cost alot more. I hope this will get you on the correct path, wish you the best!

How do I get back to the right input? Model TXE2546 25" TV

Hi,
To change the input source for your TV, you can use your remote to change the video source by following these steps:
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press the TV/Video or Source button. The current source appears on the TV screen.
  3. Press the TV/Video or Source button repeatedly to cycle through the available sources. Stop when you reach the source you want.
Hope this solves your problem. For more help and clarifications, please reply to this post. Thanks

Samsung txe2546, how to adjust horizontal size. I went on the service mode but there is no adjustement for horizontal size. How can I adjust it, because the image is larger than the screen... Thank you...

Hello Laurent
This is pretty easy it's like when you adjust the imgae on your pc monitor, go to the menu then go to settings, select video or image, look for the option and just change it there.

Tv turns on and off continually

The power supply is bad and must be replaced.

Depending on the TV and what your local repair shops charge, it might be cheaper to replace the TV. This same thing happened to me. I could replace the TV for just a little more than the cost of fixing it! I'm replacing the TV.

I'm sorry that I couldn't give you better news.

Samsung TXE2546 will not power up

i think  there  should be  gone a output transister at  horizontal  stage.   if that tv is   21" or less  use  BU508F,D2499,1803DHI, OR = .......   if that tv is 25"  then use   D2508DF OR =.

if that proble is not above  then check the power suplly once  and check EHT(LOT) finally   .

An oval-shaped rainbow-like colour pattern shows first, then, in a few minutes, picture starts to appear from the bottom and gradually extends towards the top thought never completely reach to top edge....

It May be due to one of several things. You could have some bad filter capacitors that are allowing electrical "noise" to disrupt the video, or there could be a bad solder connection or crack in the circuit board allowing a ground to "float", or there could be a problem in the Degaussing circuit, although that would be my last guess. I don't recall ever having that particular problem with any sets in my shop.
