Have a look at a few to see if any are similar to your machine. There are quite a few but I'm afraid but that's the only way I can think of doing it without seeing a picture of the machine.
Most machine have the model number written on them somewhere, but that doesn't sound like the case here.
Hopefully your manual will be able to tell you which settings are correct for your machine in able for it to sew properly.
Hope this helps!
Found the manual and the model number 705.... still having the the stiches leave about 2 inches of thread on the back side of the material.. it looks like someone was weaving not sewing... and then it get's knotted
According to the manual that means that either;
The needle is threaded incorrectly (thread needle front to back).
Or the bobbin is not threaded correctly (bobbin should have straight up and down edges not triangular)
Or the needle/thread/fabric ratio is incorrect (check the chart in the manual on page 10 of the manual).
It sounds to me like the tension isn't quite right either.
I found an old Toyota machine that looks quite similar to your 705 and had problems with uneven stitches to begin with as I was pulling the material through the machine rather than let the feed dogs do that!
Hope you can get it running smoothly, sometimes it's more a case of trial and error.
