When using component inputs, the colors (mostly green) can not be adjusted correctly
When using the component inputs, the picture can not be adjusted correctly. As an example, the green grass is brown at live baseball game when the other colors seem to be correct. Any attempt to get get green grass results in all the other colors being grossly incorrect and green can not be achieved. In all other modes, Analog/Digital TV, VGA, S-Video and Composit, the colors can be adjusted perfectly, most look great at the default settings.
Is there a "service mode" menu hidden somewhere so the component level can be modified?

if you're using RCA video cables red white and yellow plug the yellow wire from the DVD player into the green input on the TV and then plug the two audio cables red and white into the same input red and white on the TV it's the green one that carries the video signal this is generally call the component input because it breaks down the colors into their components most DVD players do not have component outputs but if you hook the green and the yellow from the DVD player you should get a picture
Check hookup connections. If you are using the component input (3 wire video green ,blue and red). Be sure both ends are in the correct colors. if switched or not all 3 connected color will be off. Composite video uses only 1 wire ,yellow. See owners manual for hookup explanations.
What type of connection are you using? if you're using component, make sure all the red, blue and green matches. If all is correct, go to menu, picture and all your color setting is there
The 37" Vizio I just bought has a very confusing feature where the same input can be used as either the Y channel of the component or the full video channel for composite. If you plug a component source into the TV and then select the composite input ("AV" on the remote), you will see a black and white version of the full component signal (makes sense as the Y channel is just the luminance component). As sad as it is, I was stumped by this for a while until I happened to hit "COMP" and got full color. FWIW, the manual warns about this, but it really doesn't emphasize the point. I wonder how many returns they get because of this.
Using the on screen menu, check the hue or wall color settings.
[Hue]
Varies the color level from +/- green to +/-blue. The red level is used as reference. This adjustment is only valid for
Video, Component and TV standard inputs (not valid for RGB and DVI digital).
Using the Wall Color Correction [Wall Color]
This function allows for quick adaptive color correction in applications where the screen material is not white.
The following nine options are available.
• OFF • Blackboard
• Blackboard (Gray) • Light yellow
• Light green • Light blue
• Sky blue • Light rose
• Pink
use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.
more then likely you are usingcomponent input if you are check to make shore they are hooked up correctly red to red green to green and blue to blue if they are you might have a bad cable I have not seen a color stream board bad yet
Are you using the component inputs from the DVD player (blue, green, red)? HDMI? If using the component cable, it sounds like one is in the wrong slot. If using HDMI, try looking at the setup in the DVD menu to make sure it is using the correct output. I had a samsung DVD player that kept trying to use the component output even though I told it to use the HDMI and my picture looked red. Let me know.
If you are using a HD cable box or satelite with component outputs, be sure that all 3 cables ( green, red, and blue ) are making good connection.A loss of red or blue will cause color shift. Usually,if the tv menu comes up as the correct color but the picture dose'nt, it is most likely a signal problem.
