Regular rechargeable AA with metal piece attached already for soldering

In most shavers it is possible to strap the EQUIVALENT VOLTAGE/CURRENT cells in series/parallel to give the correct specified rating needed for the battery. If the original is hard to find or is very epensive I have tried many times to change with AAA or AA with rating of over 1000mA cells to be soldered together as required.
I hope you can remove and check the spaces within to try with this arrangement. If not replace with the original from Panasonic.

The problem is that the battery pack is worn out and need replaced. You will need to see if this unit has one or two batteries. You will find these batteries at shaveroutlet.com. See links below for these two types

To change them you will need to remove the back cover. There are 3 screws. 2 can be easily seen. The third is under the trimmer wher it hinges to the shaver. You will need to carefully pry out the trimmer to get to it. Once screws are removed, you can take off the back. Inside, remove the metal clip to access the batteries better. Then, unsolder the wires from the battery tabs. Install new batteries by soldering to wires. Reassemble in reverse order

Replacing a Norelco Shaver Battery Things You'll Need:Torx screwdriver set Rechargeable Ni-Cd AA battery 1)Slide up the sideburns trimmer on the shaver .2)Try the various torx head screwdriver sizes to find the fit for the two screws holding the top of the back shaver cover on. Unscrew the two screws that are under the sideburns trimmer that hold the back of the shaver on. On some Norelco shavers, the back will now slide off if you apply downward pressure on the shaver's back. Other Norelco shavers have one or two torx screws on the base of the back cover on the shaver; if so, unscrew them also. Place the screws in a safe place. 3)Take the back cover off the shaver. Some shavers may have a strap fastening the battery down. Unfasten the strap if there is one. Take out the battery. 4)Replace the old battery with a new rechargeable Ni-Cd AA battery. Re-fasten the battery holding strap if there was one. 5)Replace the back shaver cover and re-screw in all the torx screws,

Jessy, Your rechargeable battery has finally degraded to the point that it is no longer capable of being recharged. Also, once rechargeable batteries get to a certain point, as yours have, the use of the power cord won't allow the shaver to operate either, since the battery can't pass the electric current through them to the motor, etc.

The good news is that for a few dollars, you can have your electric shaver working like new again. The batteries are replaceable, but you'll have to either disassemble it yourself, or have this done by a qualified service center, as it requires the ability to de-solder and re-solder it onto the motor circuit board.

You'll find that for a very low cost repair, you can extend the working life of your rechargeable shaver by many more years. I've done this many times myself and find I've saved literally hundreds of dollars, especially given the rather high cost of new electric shavers today.
