The way to clear the BIOS password on a Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7438, is to take the laptop apart until you see the motherboard under the palmrest. There you will see a small soldered-on bios battery near the Express card slot, by desoldering it and then resoldering it, it will clear the password.

U have to open the back covr of ur laptop then take out the CMOS battery(type of big button cell) for abt 5 secs and insert it back and then restart ur system.
if u do this correctly the password willbe reset.

I would boot the computer up and press F2 and check the power settings in the BIOS. It sounds like it is going to sleep on you. If that doesn't work, check your power settings in the control panel.

What Operating System are you running? Is this OS the original OS that comes with the computer?

I would recommend running windows update and when given the option choose "Custom". This will present options otherwise unavailable, such as optional and hardware updates. If this does not work, I suggest you respond back with the OS version so we can go forward with fixing your issue.

My toshiba p205d s7438 bootmgr is compressed

1.Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD drive, and then restart the computer.
2.Click to select any options that are required to start the computer from the CD drive if you are prompted.
3.When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
4.Press 1 (One) to select windows XP and then hit enter.
5.When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.
6.At the command prompt, Type
compact /U C:\bootmgr
compact /U C:\ntldr
