Removing the software and reinstalling it
using a clean boot
may resolve the symptoms you are experiencing. The following instructions will
walk you through this process.
- Remove the older software.
a.
Unplug
the device from the computer. Later you will be prompted by the software
to plug in the device; do so at that time only.
b.
Open
the Windows Control Panel.
c.
Open
the Add / Remove Programs window.
d.
Locate
the listing for the device software/driver and remove it. When prompted to
remove the device files, click Yes.
e.
Locate
any other device software/driver and remove it as well.

Accessing the System Configuration Utility
1. Click Start and select Control
Panel
2. Click System and Mantience
3. Click Administrative Tools
4. Double Click System Configuration
Configure Selective Startup options
1. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
2. Uncheck Load Startup Items
3. Select the Services tab
4. Check Hide all Microsoft
services
5. Click Disable all
6. Click on OK
7. Click Restart.
Install the downloaded device driver/software.
After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the
following:
1. Click Start and select Control
Panel
2. Click System and Mantience
3. Click Administrative Tools
4. Double click System Configuration
5. On the General tab,
choose Normal Startup
6. Click Ok
7. Click Yes, when
asked to restart your computer
