I can hear but i cant talk and it says my mic is not plugged in

Okay im playing COD4 and my mic was working and then all of a sudden after a match it doesnt show my mic plugged into the playstation...I know it is because i can hear fine but i cant talk. please someone help me????

    i was playing call of duty 4 with mine fine then i started playin cod 5 and the mic stopped working. now it doesnt work for either.

    Same, playing COD5 on playstation, even the PS3 on the accesories menu doesnt register any sound from the mic

May I ask u how long have u had this mic because I had mine for a while and this recently started to happen to me and because of the updates sony has been releasing I believe thats the cause because mine didnt start doing that until update 2.41 was released

    they have faulty ends on them... thats why it happens to a lot of people

Mic wont work, i can hear friends but they cant hear me.
Can you try using the X1 mic on your PC? Green plug to green jack, pink plug to pink jack, USB plug to USB port. Talk into the X1 mic. Can you hear your voice? If yes, then you probably have a bad chat-controller cable. If no, then your X1 mic may not be working. If that's the problem, you should contact Turtle Beach tech support for help. I cant get the headset icon turned on
All you have to do is plug in the mic, go to Accessory Settings, pick the correct mic for input and output, and test whether the mic is working by talking and looking at the sound level. Then when you go online to play COD4, there should be a mic icon next to your PSN. It should light up when you speak. There is no button to push.

I can hear trough my headset but not talk
okay, this is obvious but first of all make sure this switch on your headset is not on mute. If alls good there go to your dashboard settings and you should see communication and make sure none of these are blocked. If this also isn't the problem it looks like you are going to need a new headset. It should have a years warrenty if that helps?

I can hear people i just cant talk to them
A few reasons for not being able to talk through the mic is that if parental settings are set. Parental settings can stop you from talking and, if set right, can stop you from hearing other people, which isn't the problem. It could also be that the mic on the headset is broken. If it is, you will have to buy a new one. Try using someone else's headset. If theirs works, then it confirms that it is only your headset. If it doesn't, it might mean that either your Xbox 360 remote isn't working right for voice, or parental settings are restricting you from that action.

Cant talk on my ps3
ya you gota go the, assories, the system sounds, or something like that. You need to make the Logtec your mic and headset. Then it will just work, open mic no button to push on COD4. I think it may be adjust sound levels, or something to do with sounds under the assories settings.

Xbox 360 live headset
Try sending yourself a message and see if you hit play (after recording the message) you can hear yourself. Sometimes Ive been playing games like GRAW2 online and when I lose connection with the host or something along those lines my mic will stop working untill I reset the console. Also, most games will have some kind of an indicator when you are on Live that show when someone is talking. Do these indicators activate at all? (usually a small volume symbol that will light up next to the persons gamertag)

Cant talk
Try going to Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices Click on Voice Tab and make sure the proper device is selected. Click on Volume and make sure levels are appropriate. Lastly, click on Test Hardware and wait until you can speak into the mic to see the voice levels. If you can see the voice levels, then your mic probably works and it is just an issue of configing the COD settings. goodl luck
