Green blinking light problem too. on a Mitsubishi WS65869
I saw your post below and I think I have a green blinking light problem too. on a Mitsubishi WS65869. Do you have directions on how to replace these capacitors on the DM board?
You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.

You can go to this link they have the kits with the high temp higher volt capacitors and complete detailed instructions on how to do the repair. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/

The #3 post worked for me. I first just did the capacitors and it did not work at first, but I got it reset. It worked for 2 months and lost power the other day in a storm and the blinking light came again and would not reset. I put in the switch and followed his directions and it work perfectly. Sweeet. The switch was easy. The capacitors were not hard, but very detail oriented. I work on copiers for a living, so I am used to taking things apart and back together. You must be able to solder and reassemble pretty well, or I would hire someone to do it.
Replace the dm power board . Its inside the metal box on the left (looking at the back with the back removed). p/n 935C986002 Or if you can solder then replace the 7 electrolytic capacitors on the DM power board. value 1000uf16volt.
Haven't done anything as of yet. I saw many posts that stated it costs between 800 & 1500 to fix the problem with no guarantees on the repair or how long the repair would last. Still weighing my options.
how long was it blinking. after a complete loss of power the green light will blink on power up as it is resetting itself. It says in the manual that it should take about a minute. Over the last two days I've have to reset it several time both by unplugging it and using the manual reset button and it has taken about five minutes for the blinking green light to clear.
My WS-55859, Did the same thing. Power went out, when it came back on the green light in front of TV would blink, but TV would not power on. Did some googling and saw multiple posts for "blinking Green light" or "Blinking Green light of death". Most of the posts pointed to replacing capacitors on DM Power board. I followed the direction and it worked great. Note the TV shop guy who did the soldering for me said the capacitors "looked fine" and they were not the problem. I couldn't tell the difference between a good or bad capacitor, so I asked him to swap them anyway. He did, I plugged the board back in, buttoned up the back of the TV. After 60 seconds Green light stopped and I started watching TV again... Here is the link to the best instructions I found (http://hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=32186).
Check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM PCB.
Check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22 and C8F27 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the FMT PCB.
If any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C).
use 1000mf 25v or 35v 105 degree capacitors to replace
original four 1000mf 16v..............if new ones are a little
too high, just lay them over on board........
Look it over..........let me know......................T.
