For KDF-E42A10 When picture is black, a bluish fadded spot appears in the center of screen. When picture is white, a yellowish fadded spot appears in the center. Do I just replace the bulb?

No this is a problem with your Optical block your LCD chips have gone bad you need to replace this part to fix this issue the bulb will not solve this kind of issue

Hate to tell you this but it sounds like your picture module is going bad. The bluish tint tells me it is leaking to the outside. Some problems with the LCD picture module can be fixed but I never had to fix one. Might check out some videos on repairing LCD picture tubes on YouTube.

Spot in center of screen, if the color pictureis black the spot is blue, if the picture is white the spot is yellow.

Spots in screen is commonly caused by defective LCD on the optical assembly. LCD replacement is very difficult. I suggest to contact the nearest service center at your area.

No Picture on Screen

Hi,

They might be a problem with the video section(video card)this is where picture is generated and need to be checked there is a possibilty of a chip getting or has a leak .
The bulb gets voltage from this card so pls check it .

Yellow/green tint moving toward the center of the screen

Bad news the blue uv cut filter is discoloring its in the optical engine.
You are one of the many sony tvs that have this problem.

Contact Sony. You need optical block replaced. Class action .Sony may cover this.
