Hi there!

Yahoo! members can now remove their own account(s) and account information from Yahoo!. Please follow the instructions here to initiate the deletion of your account.

By deleting your account, you will lose access to all personalized areas of Yahoo!. This includes your Yahoo! Mail account, Yahoo! Groups, Fantasy Sports, Yahoo! Games, Profiles, Yahoo! Address Book, Monster+HotJobs account and any other area of Yahoo! that can only be accessed with your Yahoo! ID and password.

Please be sure you want to delete your entire account as you will not be able to reactivate it after the account has been deleted. You are always welcome to sign up again for a new account.

If you are subscribed to any Yahoo! Premium Services, we recommend that you first cancel your Yahoo! Premium Services by visiting Yahoo! Billing before deleting your account. There is no guarantee that deleting your Yahoo! account will immediately cancel the billing for any Yahoo! Premium Services to which you subscribed.

To remove your entire account, please visit our Account Deletion page. You will be asked to sign in or verify your password for the account you wish to remove. Please be sure to read the next page carefully, as important information about your account and account information is included. You can then confirm the deletion of your account.

If you're having trouble signing in, please review the Why doesn't my password work? help file.

Please complete the deletion process only if you are certain you want to remove your entire Yahoo! account and any features you have personalized within the account. When the deletion process is initiated, your Yahoo! account can never be recovered.

hope it helps

regards,

fossildude

HOW CAN I GET BACK TO MY TRUSTED YAHOO MAIL ACCOUNT [email protected] ??? HELP PHILLIP 416 858 3761 TORONTO ITS DISAPPERED??

HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN INACTIVE ?

Your Yahoo ID is linked to a broad array of Yahoo services, from Yahoo Messenger to online games. A Yahoo ID must be deleted from a laptop or desktop, not a mobile device. Only get rid of your Yahoo ID if you're certain you'll never need it again, because there is no option to change your mind and get your ID back once it's gone.

Deleting a Yahoo ID
When you delete a Yahoo ID, you lose access to all programs associated with it, including Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Finance Portfolio. Deleting your Yahoo ID will not remove your listing from the Yahoo People Search, however, so your profile will continue to appear in search results unless you delete your listing before deleting your ID. Lost Information b> When a Yahoo ID is removed from the system, Yahoo deletes all of the data associated with the account, including your email messages. You cannot recover this information once it is removed; creating a backup copy of your data on a computer or external storage device is the only way to preserve it for future reference. b> Reactivating Dormant Email As long has your Yahoo email has only gone dormant -- and not been deleted as the result of an ID termination -- you can reactivate the account. Yahoo automatically makes an email account dormant if the user hasn't signed in more than four consecutive months. To reactivate such an email account, you must sign in via computer using your Yahoo ID and password, and choose "Reactivate Without Account Protection." Yahoo permanently deletes old emails when an account is deactivated, but you can resume sending and receiving email once you reactivate the account. b> Considerations b> Some premium services are not cancelled along with a Yahoo ID deletion. If you signed up for a paid service, such as Yahoo Mail Plus, the company recommends manually canceling the service -- independent of your Yahoo ID deletion -- to avoid future bills. Canceling a Yahoo ID doesn't disqualify you from signing up again in the future with a new ID, but you cannot reactivate the same ID. Hope this helps.

Can't access e-mail

You need to do a google search for 'Yahoo Mail Error UDB:1'

Then the first result is a 'yahoo answers' question someone asked, the answer there solves it.

You have to delete the yahoo cookie from your browser.

I use firefox, so you go to Tools>Options>Privacy> button 'show cookies' delete yahoo cookie.

Go back to yahoo login page. Username and password.. and it will fix it.

I had the same problem.

It is called a UDB 1 error, often happens right after you change your password.

It's ******* pathetic. You can write an email from ANOTHER account to yahoo customer service for some slow, unreliable help though.
