We purchased this washer in late January 2008 and didn't install it until April 2008 (after a renovation), so I have been using it for about a month with no problems.
Today -- I began to wash using the "Normal" cycle and realized that after it fill with water it would not complete the rest of the cycle -- lights are on, etc. -- tried to reset it a couple of times changing from Normal to Perm Press, etc. and no luck.
Any idea what might be happening?!?
Thank you!
Bernadette
The water level sensor or float switch may be faulty. If the unit
does not sense that the water is at the right level nothing will
happen. When the water filling rate appears very slow, the inlet
water filters may be clogged. Although not that common the inlet
solenoid valve can jam and only partially lift. The cycle timer or program circuit board may be faulty
I appreciate your post, Rachel Kovach!
From my understanding your Frigidaire frontload washer is not spinning the final spinning and the clothes are still wet. If you washer is overloaded it will not spin properly to release the water out of the clothes. Also, a small load will cause your washer to not spin properly. You should additionally check the drain hose to make sure it not kinked or twisted that could cause your improper draining. If all that checks properly it could be an issue with your drain pump, motor, and control panel. I would suggest consulting with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help avoid unnecessary part purchases. -Matt
