If you had it for awhile then it probably is the watch battery. It should be fairly inexpensive any where from 7-12 dollars to replace the battery. This can be done in most jewelery repair stores or jewelry stores. You can also go to places such as fast fix that are located in strip malls and malls all around the US.

check to see if there is one near you. If not any jewelry store would be suffice.

Replacement battery for skagen 983XLSXM

FIXYA volunteers will usually recommend paying a jeweler store in a shopping mall to replace the battery for you for a low fee.

If you insist on doing it yourself, open the watch, and the existing battery can be identified, and purchased online by searching Amazon and other sites.

Below is a video showing a flat screwdriver used to remove the battery.

My skagen wrist watch has stopped .why?It has lifetime warranty

Your watch has lifetime warranty - not the battery. Battery should be replaced as soon as it goes flat. Do not leave flat battery in watch - it may leak and destroy the movement. Pop in your nearest watch repair shop and ask to replace battery. Rate me please.

Skagen 433LSLB Watch Battery

If you take the watch to any jeweller they will be able to identify the battery type required - also they should be able to replace the seals, which are always worth replacing when a battery goes. Here is the link for contact with Skagen if you need it; http://www.skagen.com/service.asp Hope this helps :)
